Safeguarding at Spectacle Theatre
At Spectacle Theatre, we believe that everyone has the right to be safe, respected, and supported —whether you’re taking part in a workshop, watching a performance, or working alongside us.
We are committed to protecting the wellbeing of all individuals who engage with our work, especially children, young people, and adults at risk. Our team is trained to recognise concerns, respond appropriately, and maintain safe, inclusive environments:
We follow robust safeguarding procedures and undertake enhanced DBS checks for all staff and facilitators. Ongoing training ensures our approach remains trauma-informed, culturally aware, and aligned with UK safeguarding standards.
On this page, you’ll find summaries and links to all of our current safeguarding policies, including:
- Working with children and young people
- Supporting adults at risk
- Code of conduct for staff, freelancers, and volunteers
- Procedures for reporting concerns and seeking support
